    Remove Power Manager from Startup

    Hello,

I'm running Kubuntu Feisty and I prefer the KPowersave daemon to the Power Manager one and already have installed KPowersave. I quit the Power Manager but it always starts backup when I reboot. I'm wanting to stop it from starting on boot up. Can anyone please help me with this?

    Thanks SO much in advance!

    press Alt+F2 and type kcontrol.
Peripherals -- Monitor and Display -- Power Saving
    disable Power Saving.
It is amazing what you can accomplish if you do not care who gets the credit.

    Thanks for the reply.

That didn't fully solve it for me but I couldn't figure out how to start kcontrol and had been wanting to find that out so that was a big help

I ended up uninstalling the daemon and that sorted it for me. Thanks for the info and taking the time to reply!!
