New to linux
Hi to everyone,
I am new to linux. I installed RHEL5 in virtual PC for startup learning. Can any one suggest some tutorial to learn Linux from basic including what is kernal, X Windows, etc.,? Because I want to develop embedded linux code in very near future. I referred lot of websites, I am not getting clear picture where to start?
So. Kindly help me to learn.

Personally i prefer books as a learning tool and there are often threads for book recommendations so you might want to search the forums. You'll probably find other useful information too!!

The book I always recommend as a starting point is an O'Reilly publication called Running Linux. It's quite a slim volume but it gives a good overview.
