    Rescuing NTFS partition

I've been having some problems with my computer, uninstalling and installing Linux/WinXP a couple of times, and the only thing I need to do now is to fix one of my ntfs partitions containing my stored files from my Windows days. I'm very new to Linux, but I know how to enable my ntfs disks in Fedora, but one is corrupt. I can't mount it, and as you can see in the attached screenshot I get an Error message telling me what to do to solve this. The problem is that I can't fix it through chkdsk since I don't have a WinXP OS installed anymore..

Is this problem suitable for Tinity Rescue Kit? If it is, where should I go from here?

As I said, I'm rather new to Linux so please be gentle..

    Best regards

it s not possible to fix NTFS partition with any Linux Based tool. try UBCD to fix it.
It is amazing what you can accomplish if you do not care who gets the credit.

Okey.. Let's say that I download Ultimate Boot CD. I simply just burn it to a CD and start with it? What's the "Fix my NTFS partition but don't remove my files on the partition"-mode called?

    Cheers

check this link. i think you can recover partition/data using Active NTFS Reader for Dos under NTFS Tools in UBCD.
