    Nvidia Drivers in 7.04

I'm totally new for linux and installed ubuntu since it seems to be best for me.
I want to have my old resolution back, and it was 1650x something, i cannot remember. I've got an 22 inch wide screen LCD and the current nvidia drivers that i got with an ubuntu update don't dupport that high. it's only up to 1024x768

Any ideas on where to get it moving up ?

btw, VGA card is GeForce 6600 LE and I'm running the 64 bit edition Ubuntu. Took me over 24 hours to finally get Opera installed in here and it was funny. =)

    Regards

You should edit your xorg.conf. Check here for more details

check your Monitor's Manual for supported HorizSync, VertiRefresh rates and Resolutions. open Terminal and execute this
    Code:
    sudo dpkg-reconfigure xserver-xorg
accept default options and enter correct HorizSync/VertiRefresh rates when prompted. select supported resolutions from the list. reboot machine.
It is amazing what you can accomplish if you do not care who gets the credit.

Accept default options and enter supported HorizSync/VertRefresh rates only. Select supported Resolution from the List.
