my computers always die, seeks simplist linux os to learn to keep after

my computers always die, and ive lost about 15 to twenty game projects since 1999. So what i want to do is get the most simple version of linux, and learn to keep it healthy.

what version has the least files, or is the smallest, or has the least features, or is the oldest and can still survive in at least a 32 bit world?

What do you mean your computers always "die"? Describe what you're talking about.

This sounds like a symptom of something else - e.g. serious electrical issues - that has nothing to do with an OS.
