    Question Netscape Help

Hiya! I am a noob and I know absolutely nothing about Linux but I am trying to figure it out and with my Mister's very patient assistance I am getting there...kinda. (He is not familiar w/Linux either but he is a computer guy so he knows way more than me. Anyway, I just put SUSE 10 on my laptop and I am trying to do my banking and the site told me I need Netscape 7.0 or higher to do so. I downloaded Netscape 9.0 and now the Bank page is telling me that my browser does not meet minimum security requirements for Online Banking. It said my browser does not support 128-bit encryption, which is nonsense b/c I just installed Netscape 9.0. My mister said it may be b/c of Linux. Is there anything that I can do about this? Thanks!

    Hi,
You could can check your browser this way: (from a link I found)
    1. Open up your browser window.
    2. Click on the Help button at the top of the browser.
    3. Click on the heading About Navigator or About Communicator
    4. In the page that opens up, the browser version displays, as well as a section that reads:

    This version supports U.S.
    security with RSA Public Key
    Cryptography, MD2, MD5,
    RC2-CBC, RC4, DES-CBC, DES-EDE3-CBC .
Some websites demand that you use Internet Explorer.
    Have you tried using Firefox?

The bank site specifically requires Netscape 7.0 or Above and it will not work w/Firefox. I had Firefox so that is why I got Netscape 9.0 like they said so I would be compatible and it still did not work. I just did not know if it hated me b/c I was using Linux or something! I mean lot of people use Linux and manage to do their banking online right? That is why I am so confused b/c I did exactly what the site told me to do!
    Thanks!

I use Linux only, and I am able to do my banking online. So I don't think it's a "Linux thing". Does your browser have the above mentioned RSA encryption?

    This is what it says:

    Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; en-US; rv:1.8.1.5pre) Gecko/20070710 Firefox/2.0.0.4 Navigator/9.0b2

That was all it said in the about Netscape Navigator.
It did not say anything about encryption and I looked RSA up in the help and there was nothing.

    *UPDATE*
well I just checked something else and I had to diagree with something so now it is working!
    Thanks!
