Next week I'll be getting the program band-in-a-box. Is it possible to run it in Fedora with Wine, or does wine only work with games?...

Wine is not only for games , usually i'm using wine (since i erase my MS product in my computer ) to run some application that i like , and they run perfect even better than windows (because you fell free, and the blue screen of death will not appear)

have a look to this related to your program.

As mentioned above, WINE is a more broadly-focused project for all types of programs. There is however another piece of software based on WINE that is specifically designed for games: Cedega. Just in case you were curious.
