i love linux i have tried it a few times expecting it to be windows-user friendly, but was pleasantly surprised. i want a distro that throws me into linux and literally forces me to learn the ins and outs of linux. fully customizable to my tastes I dont want an installer program i want to know everything there is to know about linux pretty much. i want the most pure Linux experience there is. dont be gental in fact beat me up with compiling things from source code i wont be happy until i can pretty much recite the kernel from my head lol

distros tried:
scale of 1-10
Debian 8 packaging system rox
Ubuntu 5.5 its fricken debian i dont see what makes it different loses major points for this honestly besides an ugly brown theme what makes it different?
fedora 8 pretty nifty packaging system is nifty and intuitive
mandriva 4 gay
linspire/lindows 1 gay
lycoris desktop lx 4.5 dead
Slackware 8.5 awesome distro really pure
Gentoo 10 dont much care for portage
but it seems to fit me current distro im looking for a more pure distro
this was the first distro i have tried my friend told me about it i had no idea about linux all i knew hey free os i was like 17 he installed it for me did level 1 install

oops! tried 8 distos till now
i think choosing a good distos is not hard for a person who had tried 8 distos
anyway read the preview/reviews on web and select your distrolife is the greatest opportunity that the nature had given you

To restate:
I was thinking about trying LFS has anyone had any success with this. Only reason I just joined is I had no idea this actually existed been playing with linux since redhat 5 when there was sexy babes wearing linux 2.0 panties and everyone was not yet using it.
