    Upgrade to Fedora

    Hello all,

Could I have some ideas about the difference between Fedora and Red Hat Linux, are they similar or completely different ?

If I'm thinking to upgrade my current RHL to fedora, could I keep my current RH settings or I need a clean install ?

Will this be worthy to do the upgrade ? Could someone give me an idea on this ? Thanks

    Best regards

RedHat is more for the server than for the desktop, they are very similar. Fedora is more bleeding edge than RedHat hence more unstable, but stable enough to be used on the desktop

I would recommend a clean install

It depends on what you are looking for, if you are using it on your personal computer it should be a worthy upgrade since you will get newer software versions and better hardware support for things like wireless, etc
If you need a rock solid server, I can't recommend Fedora since it may run unstable

I'd recommend the clean install as well.
