Total Newbie-Virtual machine...Aaargh!
Running Win XP Home. I downloaded and installed VMware player. But when I next try to download DSL as a virtual machine all I can get is a 45k bit torrent. Ok. So I now download a client bittorrent.exe. Still no dice. It says I'm not connected to any peers. Well, if you haven't guessed I'm in Terra Incognita. Can this really be this difficult--can I really be that stupid? Any help would be appreciated.

Try THIS one.
It's a direct web browser download of the current ISO from they're site.
VMware probably has the opportunity to mount ISO files as a CD-ROM.
Don't know for sure. I use VirtualBox, it HAS the ability to mount ISO's as CD's.
For further info you should STILL check the sticky in this subforum and check my help searching thread for other questions and answers concerning running Linux in a Virtual PC.
Good luck with Linux.
