    Question I'm a Noob and I need help installing....

    Hey i have used Mandriva for about a month now. And I reasontly got my 5.1 speaker sound working, but now I want some music.

    So now I got some questions:

    What kind Bittorrent client should I use?


    How do i install it?
    (Step by step noob version)

    You sure Mandriva doesn't come with a bittorrent client installed? Ktorrent or Azureus? Have a look around the "start" menu (sorry for the windows terminology), under the "internet" section.

    Im pritty sure about that, I have looked through the comp and I can't find anything, but do you know what the bit torrent client could be called in mandriva?

    I used to use Azureus in Windows so I would love to use that in Linux as well, I just checked the Azureus website for Linux rmps. but I still don't realy know how to get it to work

    If you look here, and scroll down to the networking section, you'll see that bittorrent is included by default.

    If you prefer azureus, you could d/load and install the rpm. Check here for instructions on how to do that.

    Open Konsole and execute 'ktorrent'. Post error message here, if any.
    It is amazing what you can accomplish if you do not care who gets the credit.

    I can't find the Included Bittorrent client, I have dun the find files as well but still no bittorrent client.

    I'm running on the free Mandriva Spring 07 version, could that be the problem?

    Did you execute ktorrent in Konsole? Whats the output?

    Well then I have a few new questions, How do I execute Ktorrent? what do I do In the konsole? Is the console called "Terminal Program"?
