I was wondering which linux would be a good start for me.

I have an AMD Turion 64 X2 TL-56 laptop.

I know nothing and all I require is that I be able to use bit torrent and play WOW.

I'm pretty computer literate.

This question gets asked a lot but there really is no answer. Check out this thread and Distrowatch.com. Remember distros are just a matter of personal preference.
