Can't print to Windows Printer using Samba...Help!

I have 2 pcs networked together. Samba is used to connect linux to win98.

I went to the command line and typed smbclient //MANCHESTER/CANNONS300 (Cannon S300 is the windows printer and it appeared in the share list when I typed smbclient -L)

After the smb:/> prompt appeared, I typed print /root/Sample.txt and pressed Enter. The message appeared: putting file /root/Sample.txt as Sample.txt -1138 (5.9kb/s)(average 7.6kb/s)

This message looks like the file is being sent to the windows printer for printing but nothing happened from the printer. I waited but nothing happened.

Do you know why the printer does not print? Anything to do so as to correct the problem?

Try adding the printer via a local UNIX printer queue, so that it gets processed. What printer daemon are you using on your Linux system?
