yeah we looked at that, we thought you could just put a hardware mirror card over them, as in theory a SCSI raid just presents itself as a SCSI device - and the card that was to mirror detected them as a Hard drives, but itsead of 1TB it was reading something strange, like 297MB - which wasn't anything that made sense because they were 200GB drives.
like i said we are currently rsyncing two seperate units - which allows us to recover from accidental deletions, so we are happy (more or less) at the moment
Can't you just try to create a software RAID-1 then? I'd say it's not too shabby. (At least it's better than rsyncing, isn't it?)

Well we could do a software RAID, but we have always tried to stay out of that, I would have to look into how much overhead it takes etc - see we abuse the hell outta this TB
