RSA Pubkey authentication working, but not working at the same time.
Alright, this isn't directly Linux. But it's basically linux.
I am trying to get our Qnap to SCP all the config files out of our cisco switches. Please don't close the page yet, there is linux stuff coming!
On our QNAP. I generated an RSA keypair
ssh-keygen -t rsa
Copied it to the server.
Also copied it to ~/.ssh/authorized_keys
This isn't the problem, take a look:
debug1: Host 'xxxxxxxxxxxxxx' is known and matches the RSA host key.
debug1: Found key in /share/MD0_DATA/xxxx/.ssh/known_hosts:5
debug1: Authentications that can continue: publickey
debug1: Next authentication method: publickey
debug1: Offering public key: /share/MD0_DATA/xxxx/.ssh/id_rsa
debug1: Server accepts key: pkalg ssh-rsa blen 277
debug1: read PEM private key done: type RSA
debug1: Authentication succeeded (publickey).
debug1: Entering interactive session.
It just told me that it was successful, why am I being prompted for username?
Perhaps this is a security setting with the switch itself. I just thought I would ask if anyone else encountered this issue using regular linux and how you might have fixed it?
