PCLinuxOS vs. Mandriva

If PCLinuxOS is based on Mandriva, then what's the difference? Why should I choose PCLinux over Mandriva? I can't seem to find that comparison anywhere. Is PCLinuxOS supposed to be more user friendly? Cuz if that's all it is, Mandriva is user-friendly enuff for me already.

Anyone happen to know the differences?

PCLinuxOS started off strongly based on Mandriva several years ago. I'm sure there are plenty of differences now, but I don't really know what all those differences are. They are different enough that they each have their own group of followers in the Linux world.

The best thing to do, in my opinion, would be to simply try both and go with the one you wind up liking best.
