Talking Windows DNS

i am using centOS 5 with Squid proxy Server and windows2000 Server as a DNS server.my windows PC's are gettng the benifits of Windows DNS Server and easily resolving names but i want the CentOS also can resolve name via Windows DNS Server. I suplied windows DNS IP address in the resolv.conf file of CentOS but still CentOS is not able to resolve the names.What should i do?

try adding the following to resolv.conf

search fq.domain.name

or

domain fq.domain.name
