Question Puppy Dingo 4.0

I have downloaded Puppy 4.0 three times now because I figured it to be corrupted. The reason is that I can't get it to boot from my CD

I extracted it to CD with ISO copy program, and when I boot from the CD, things seem to be going well up to a point.

Several processes go along until it comes to "Loading Kernel Modules."
And there it freezes. Flashing cursor, but no progress and can't type anything in. Sat there for three hours the other day, while I went to the store.

I've downloaded it from several sites now, and produced three different CDs, and get the same result each time.

running Vista home basic on a Toshiba Laptop. Plenty of RAM for this little program.

Does anyone have any suggestions as to what to do next?
