WIFI and LINUX.

i just installed slackware 13 on my acer timeline 4810t laptop. iam determined to make wifi and everything else work on my slackware attempt. i know if i install ubuntu , mint, fedora, and mandriva i wont face problems like a simple wifi connection but i just want to use slackware for some reason.

so someone help me out with the wifi configurations...please..thanks

That would be the output of lspci. where is the same for lsmod?

You should be able to get the drivers that you need from Intels website: Intel® Wireless WiFi Link drivers for Linux*

The driver for you card is included in the kernel and loading, as shown above. However, the intel wifi cards need firmware installed as well.

Download the iwlwifi-5000-ucode-8.24.2.12.tgz package from here. Extract and place the files in /lib/firmware/
