VLOS detecting a Belkin Router

I am a newbie to Linux. I have a dual OS computer running VLOS and have a wired connection to a Belkin Wireless router with ADSL input.

When I run the machine as windows, it connects quickly to the internet. When I try to connect through VLOS I receive the message:
Failed to execute child process"/usr/lib/pppd" (Permission denied)

Can anyone help me with this?
