black screen with Backtrack 2
Hi all!
i just downloaded and burned Backtrack 2!
it succesfully boots on my laptop but when i type startx or flux, i get a black screen! and the crtl+alt+plus doesn't changes anything!
i have the same black screen if i type ati, but the xconf goes well.
so i have to force reboot, and i don't like doing it =/
i hope to find a solution with your help!
PS: i'm french ^^ sorry for the bad english
EDIT: tested on an other pc, it works well... but i want to use it on my laptop ='(

Backtrak is Alackware based if i'm not wrong , and almost all the Slackware based distro doesn't contains useful script to configure X , so you have to do it so by editing the xorg.conf file , or post your vga model.
But this is Strange that you can't switch back to console by typing ctl+alt+f1 !
Regards.Linux is not only an operating system, it's a philosophy.
Archost.
