I added Groups to ROOT user which is causing the login msg: "VERY BAD ERROR - possibly in AUTH MODULE", and cannot login to my OS. Is there some way to edit a file to restore ROOT user groups to default settings so I can log on to my computer? I have the LIVE CD and tried to go into Kuser on the "installed OS partition" and change settings that way but it didn't work. It seems that if I knew the exact file and appropriate settings, I should be able to open a text editor from the LIVE CD, edit the file to whatever the default settings should be, save, and exit --- essentially restoring my computer and login to default status. Is this possible??
