Gnome XP/Vista Theme...how?
Hi All,
I was wondering whether anyone knows on a tutorial on how to make Gnome mimic XP/Vista without resorting to Compiz/Beryl? I prefer not to use Beryl/Compiz as that 1)can be unstable and 2)slow down Linux.
I'd appreciate any help on this.
Thanks

You can find some nice artwork at GNOME Art - Artwork & Themes, too.
Here's a theme that makes the window frames in Gnome look all XP-like:

Here is a fairly straightforward tutorial on how to make Gnome look like Vista. It's written for Ubuntu but can be applied to pretty much any distribution.
