    DSL - can't make


    Hi i have put DSL on an old portable PC and i can't run make cuz it says make doesn't isn't a command that exists. Howcome make isn't on it? i have put a pcmcia wireless card and i'm trying to compile it's own modules.

    Make isn't there because most small and single cd distributions do not include development packages in order to make the distribution small or to make it fit on the installation media. If you can access the internet using another pc or via ethernet, then try to use that to get the packages you need.
