Sound and Wireless issues : Sabayon on dv2000

Hey,
I'm having a strange issue and am hoping to get some help;
basically, I have just installed sabayon on my dv2000 replacing Vista. Everything works exceptionally well and I am learning the ins and outs of the new OS - slowly.
One problem I have yet to fix is the fact that I can either have wireless working (d-link router hooked up to the web) or my sound working.
I'm at a bit of a loss to explain this ... any known issues with the dv2000? or with wireless and sound interoperability?

I googled "dv2000" and came up with this page.
He didn't seem to have any issues of the sort you are describing.
you could check the BIOS to make sure that you don't have 2 irqs set the same.

p.s. I have a dv6000 that works great with Sabayon.
