Damn Small Linux on a USB drive... can I update or install other apps?

I am planning on installing Damn Small Linux (DSL) on my USB drive. I take it with me everywhere and keep a bunch of portable apps for Windows on it. Thos apps are not enough... I need Linux!

With DSL on a USB drive can I update, install, remove...etc applications with DSL if I have it running as a live version on a USB drive?

Yes you can. I've not done very many things with it personally, but the Official DSL Forum should have some good info on how to do just what you need.
