hi all this is my first post um im very new to linux like first day using it just had one questions.
i need to know how to install programs on yellow dog linux 6 using tar files and what not i was trying to install gnash but cant seem to figure it out.
a link to a guide or a step by step newb guide would be great thx alot all

thx for the link helped a bit ok so the add remove program says gnash .8 somehing is already installed and the firefox plug in is to but i cant acess any flash sites like youtube

ok so i read somemore and terra soft says i need 3rd party drivers for gnash to run you tube and stuff like that anyone out there got a link for that
