using linux on PS3
Hi! I'm really really new to linux and i cant seem to get any media software working properly. I cant watch mp4, mpeg, avi files and cant get downloaded software for mplayer or real player installed, let alone to run. When i try opening videos with the helix player is says i need to decode files.
I'm using linux ( yellow dog linx 5.0) on my ps3 and i partitioned 10Gig for it. is there any simple software i can install and use to watch the videos?
Please help

Watching movies requires the installation of the win32 codecs. This is a collection of windows codecs that will let you play just about any media type under the sun. Before you install this, you are going to want to check the legality of this package in your country.
