    WMA is a Windows format and is proprietary. I'm not sure there's any direct way to do it. You may be able to install a Windows tool under Wine to get the job done though.

    If you are looking for a lossless codec have you considered ogg flac? It is probably the most widespread lossless codec out there and is free and open source and most likely already included in your distro.

    problem is its going on my zune the zune likes wma-lossless
