Creating custom installation CD's for Linux
Hello!
I have an ambitious self-study project going on.
I'm going to install Linux From Scratch (the project) to get more familiar
hwo things work. I have installed Gentoo before and from stage1 tarball,
so I don't like to think myself as a complete novice.
However, one part of my goal is rather undocumented or I just don't know
where to look. Sure I can install a system inside from another linux system,
but if I eventually need to spread my own work to multiple computers?
Would turn to be quite a hassle to build a system from scratch all the time.
Thus, I'm look ing for a way to create an installer or so for it.
I'm not completelly sure how Linux distro installers work, but
I think it's just a set of scripts installing the packages and base system.
Is there any allready existing modifiable base I couild use to create my
own installer which does as I request it?
Sorry, I'm having a hard time explaining it, but hopefully you got what I meant
and dind't go all tl;dr at this poist.

Not sure if it's really what you're looking for, but maybe you could look into something like CloneZilla.
