Asus Eee PC Linux

Hey there.
I just bought an Eee pc 901 and i have never seen a linux system before.
Now im kinda looking for a linux rookie guide to help me set up.
First of all i have no idea what kind of linux i got, that's a good start :P
Then I want to learn how to use/install tar to set up my torrents/irc/ftp etc.
And.. yeah, everything you need to know to get around..
Thanks for any helpful tips and tricks you're willing to share!

Welcome to the forums

I'd recommend starting with the "sticky" posts at the top of the newbie forums. There's tons of good information and links there that will give you a good grounding in linux. You can start a thread here if there's anything you need to know.
