Python and SAM desktop Linux 2007
Hi. I'm using SAM Desktop Linux 2007. it comes with python 2.4.3. i want to install python 2.6, so i downloaded the source code, configured it, made it, installed it etc.
if i run it from the directory it put it in it says IDLE Python 2.6. but if i run "python" from a terminal or type "python -V" its still running as 2.4.3.
how do i set my new install to be the "default", do i have to set an environment variable or something?
