    Cygwin on Windows XP



    When I run setup.exe and try to install the "packages" from a local directory the install does not seem to work?

    --edit
    I get the error "Setup.exe has encountered and error and must close" and I never get asked for the directory the local packages are in

    Maybe you have a corrupted .exe. Does the normal install of Cygwin work?
