Samba PDC: RPC server not available
I am running CentOS 5.3 (2.6.18-128.1.1.el5) - all based on Red Hat.
I have configured Samba as PDC, but my Windows Client, Vista Business, cannot join the domain, I configured in Samba. It tells me, that the RPC server is not available. Google tells me, that many have the same problem, but a solution doesn't exist, obviously. Who wants to try?

Believe me or not: a reboot did the thing.

I am learning by doing; my Linux server is on its way.
The machine I am testing with, is a server my father-in-law had. My own test server has just returned from a customer, I will configure that, and have planned to have my Windows server retired in next weekend
On each other problem; I will show up here

Here's what I think happened:
You installed some new services but install script did not start them. It added everything needed to startup scripts though.
