What is the difference in practical terms between the -if and -uf options in prt-get? I've used -if before to override minor footprint differerences; presumably -uf alters the footprint to match the package. But in what circumstances should you use one rather than the other? And why doesn't ports -u update all the footprints to match the currently available tarballs, like emerge --sync does in Gentoo?
