    Exclamation Backtrack live cd wont boot

    ok , am new to backtracking and started with the bt4-beta.iso(live cd).
    heres the problem .....burned this iso on a cd\dvd and booted from it ...
    but straight away my windows boots...i checked the boot priority order and it states cd\dvd as the first option.....
    the iso has 2 parent folders boot & bt4 .do i need to burn somthing else also with these...

    also, how to obtain root priveledges when booting from live cd.....

    sounds like improper burn to disk

    Welcome to the forums!

    Check this HowTo for good instructions to properly download the ISO file, burn it to disk, and then boot from the newly created disk:
