    Help!!!

    i am trying to delete something from my windows partition on backtrack 2 because windows wont start up but unfortunatly its ntfs and therefore a read only file system, how can i delete the files/directories????

    Welcome to the forums!

    You'll need ntfs-3g to write to ntfs. Try using your distribution package tool to install it if you don't already have it.

    Oops... sorry, but I misread your post. Try booting with a liveCD such as Parted Magic, then navigate to the file in question and delete it from there.
