Data Recovery using Linux
Recently I resumed a HDD supposedly containing deleted data / files with XP OS. I would like to browse the contents of the HDD and find/recover deleted files.
I would like to know
(1) Is there any live Linux Distros loaded with such data recovery packages?
(2) If no such Distro is available, then which Distro and packages would be fit for such work?
Members suggestions are solicited

Hello and welcome!
The best data recovery tools that I'm aware of are TestDisk and PhotoRec:
TestDisk - CGSecurity
You can find both apps on the Parted Magic LiveCD:
Parted Magic Newsoz
