    If me I would go for a Tiny Core USB install instead.
    As it uses the 2.6 kernel and can be built upon with newer applications like Firefox 3.6. DSL has been frozen for quite some time now. Tiny Core was built by a person who used to develop DSL.

    ok. i'll try tinycore. seems simple enough to install to a usb stick. i'll try dsl on a ext2 partition to see if it does work too. thanks.
