Corruption during linux kernel download
Hoping someone can assist I'm struggling to find the answer elsewhere and there appears to be no other suitable forums.
I've been asked to look at a deployment of LTSP within a large education environment but in the process I must clarify a number of queries.
One regarding the reliability of the solution I'm unsure of, I understand the kernel will be downloaded over TFTP which uses UDP and although it should be rare, I'm asked what would happen should just one data packet be corrupt?
Can it recover or would a reboot be required and try again each time?

I don't exactly understand your problem , In case if your looking for how to verify integrity of downloaded kernel tar file ,you can compare the md5sum of downloaded kernel with original.
