    Hi everybody.....

    I am interested very much in writing a new linux based operating system... So kindly provide me your valuable suggestions and opinions to build our open operating system... i have decided to build the operating system in a manner completely customized for medical practitioners.....

    LET LINUX RULE THE WORLD..........

    But i have that book... i need some building up suggestions..... something that spices up our linux....

    There are literally thousands of software packages for Linux available so you can pick from those to spice it up as you wish. You can find many of them listed and described here:

    Check here for the different desktops environments and window managers that you can pick from:

    You can find eye-candy if you want it at different locations across the web such as:

    Eyecandy for your KDE-Desktop - KDE-Look.org

    Eyecandy for your GNOME-Desktop - GNOME-Look.org


    You'll probably need to spice it to suit yourself unless you intend trying to spice it to suit everyone else's taste, which probably won't be possible.
