    Install Puppy direct from USB-- no CD/DVD

    I wish to install Puppy Linux to laptop from USB. I have downloaded the .iso to another computer but there is no CD/DVD writer. Can I build boot files direct to USB?

    Unetbootin should be able to install Puppy for you without a CD/DVD drive:

    Which operating system do you have on your "other computer"?
    If it is windows, you can follow the instructions on the link below and install Puppy to the USB, put the USB stick with Puppy installed in your laptop, set the BIOS to boot from the USB and when it boots to the Desktop, click on the Menu tab in the lower left corner, move up to System and Puppy Universal Installer. Follow the directions. If you are not familiar with Linux, I would suggest you read one of the many tutorials available for installing Puppy to a hard drive.
