    regarding Anti Virus distro's

    hi all,

quick question. are there any linux distro's that have a live disc with a decent (and free) av on it?

i figure it might be better to perform periodic checks on my system using an av that has no chance of being contaminated by the hard drive.

I'm at a loss for one that actually has AV installed.
But a LiveCD can be used all the same.
Boot up to, for example, a Ubuntu live session. install ClamAV.
A quick run of sudo freshclam and you're good to go.

Parted Magic is a very good liveCD distro that has ClamAV installed on it by default.

I didn't realize that it was there waiting for me!
