    Xorg issues

I recently installed linux, and prior to the update, xorg would work fine. After i updated, I noticed slim login manager wouldn't work, and would just direct me to a terminal, and "startx" results in a crash.

    What distro are you running?
And what updated? Did it include a kernel update or driver update for your GFX card?
When you say 'crash', are you forced to use the power button to shutdown? Or are you still sitting at a console screen?
If possible, attempt to startx, and after it fails, post the output of
    Code:
    cat /var/log/Xorg.0.log
Use [code] tags to do so, as it makes for easier reading.
Also, if you have a xorg.conf file, post that as well.
