That's when I do my best command line work! Nothing like compiling a kernel after three or four scotches...

LOL! Ya sure learn how to type a little more carefully at that point!
My first few kernel compiles usually involved a 6-pack... or so

Jay, sometimes I look at old threads like that and am amazed at the things I used to know that I don't seem to know anymore!

I did have one pretty serious drunken mishap, I did rm -rf /var /log. I chronicled it here on the forums somewhere!

    Most dangerous command there is
Did you have the same reaction as me..?
About 2 seconds of WTF while you wait for the cursor to become usable again?

Gotta be careful about that... Drinking and Linux...
    Good times!

Lol! Yep! In fact, since that time, I usually get a queasy feeling in my stomach if the cursor goes away for over five seconds.

EDIT: Sorry elija, didn't mean to hijack your thread. Once you get IceWM cooperating with CRUX, you'll have smokin' setup!

That queasy feeling is called experience ^_^

I don't mix configuration and drinking any more. I've woken up a couple of time with a hangover and without a working computer and no clue what I did to it.

Well, I have a working icewm! I ended up downloading and compiling the source. When I tried to use romster, I kept getting a footprint error which I assumed meant it was compromised?

Next comes a display manager; I'm trying to decide which one.

    GDM
    LXDM
    LightDM
    XDM

    GAAAH! choices!

This is fun but I'm starting to feel the need to use my lappy for some real work which may mean Debian going back on it tomorrow as I can have that up and running in a couple of hours.
