How do I install icewm on crux 2.7.1
Nothing I'm finding online makes sense or is at least very, very out of date.

Have you already setup your /etc/prt-get.conf?
If so, it's as easy as:
If you haven't found it yet, take a look at the ports page.Code:prt-get depinst icewm
IceWM can be found in either sepen or romster.Jay

That's the stuff I'm reading that doesn't make sense

There is nothing in prt-get.conf that matches the info there and I get the httpup file and it matches nothing in ports/If we hit that bullseye, the rest of the dominoes will fall like a house of cards. Checkmate! (Zapp Brannigan)

When you download the httpup file, save it to /etc/ports.
Then, add something like this to your /etc/prt-get.conf:
Run:Code:prtdir /usr/ports/sepen
Code:ports -u ##updates package list prt-get sysup ##updates installed software prt-get depinst icewm

Here's a list of my /etc/prt-get.conf from 2.5.
Some of the ports have, sadly, gone away. But it should help for some of it
Code:### prt-get conf ### # note: the order matters: the package found first is used prtdir /usr/ports/core prtdir /usr/ports/opt prtdir /usr/ports/xorg prtdir /usr/ports/contrib prtdir /usr/ports/rehabdoll prtdir /usr/ports/ecarux prtdir /usr/ports/yhafri prtdir /usr/ports/han prtdir /usr/ports/hnc prtdir /usr/ports/sepen # the following line enables the user maintained contrib collection #prtdir /usr/ports/contrib

Thanks jayd, I'll probably look at that on Boxing day. Unless there is the traditional Christmas row, then I'll look tomorrow

So a good brawl is 'traditional' on Boxing Day?
Kinda makes sense, if ya think about it!
Like I said, though... my config file is sadly out of date. But as a guideline, it should do the trick.
Not sure if you noticed something on the ports page, but clicking each maintainers name opens up a list of software that is included in that port.
And you have a Merry Christmas, as well!

Elija, I just use the latest tarball from Sourceforge. I think it only requires Imlib which can be obtained through ports. See here for more. This might be of help too once you get it installed.

Well in our case, the fight is usually mid afternoon on Christmas day and is about something like what Sharon said about Lucy at David and Leslie's wedding. Alcohol, carbs and close confinement

Thanks Dan, I'll check that out as well. Not tonight - I've been drinking
and I've learned the hard way about configuration and alcohol!
