well, decided to get back to crux. Built the kernel, and booted the system and everything went fine.

I was able to probe for my ethernet card, and was also able to dhcp for an ip address, which I am also able to get; however, when I attempt to ping out, nothing.

I cant seem to figure out what exactly is going on, and any help would be appreciated.
