In Linux. Just open a terminal where the downloaded iso is sitting and do.
You can do this in Windows Also.Code:$ md5sum Diamond528_512_full.iso 079e37af1472552aa08e37579db1e781 Diamond528_512_full.iso

MD5 Checker - CNET Download.com
This is the official md5sum for Macpup 529
Any of the 3 mirror sites should be ok to use. Just be sure to check md5sum after download of iso to make sure you ended up with a good download.Code:73980508df46011dbdf927e0c0cb41a8 *macpup_529.iso
So far. It looks like you are just stumbling around with a full iso install. Maybe you are installing grub to root instead of mbr on sda.
