How to geet open office to show up in the SliTaz menu.

I have been playing with SliTaz 4.0 in a VM, and really like it. My problem is that I have downloaded both libre office and open office from the repositories and installed them, but niether one shows up in the Office menu, or anywhere else I can find. Checking the SliTaz panel, it shows that it is indeed in the cache. How do I get it to show up? Thanks for helping me understand this.

Though I don't run Slitaz. It looks to me like it runs openbox with a Lxpanel. Pretty much edit menus like LXDE would be my guess.

Does Slitaz have a package for lxmed?

I use lxpanels in fluxbox in my AntiX 11 base install M/C desktop and I use Lxmed to edit Lxpanel Menus to add things like Libre Office manually.

I found a reference to enabling non-free installation, but SliTaz 4.0 doesn't have the check box the post mentions.

I use run/gexec to open things sometimes when no menu entry is present just to test that things/install went OK or the terminal.

I removed and reinstalled open office, even downloaded, upacked and installed from apache, still no Open Office. I finally gave up and installed Abiword with no problems, which is actually a better choice for what I will use SliTaz for. Thanks Rocky for talking me through all the attempts. It seems that while it is reported as installed, I can't get it to open, even from a terminal with the correct path.
