Flashplayer installation problem on puppy linux 1.0.7
Hi everyone, I recently installed puppy linux 1.0.7 on an old PC that was still running on windows 98 for my son. For the last 2 weeks I've been trying to download flashplayer so he can do his homework but no luck. My internet browser is Mozilla. Would anybody be able to help me? I am not too used to puppy yet and could do with very simple instructions.

Hello and welcome!

I don't run puppy, but if the player won't install the usual puppy way, you can always do a manual install into your /home folder as follows:
Just go to Adobe's site and download the Flash Player you want to install:
Adobe - Install Adobe Flash Player
Then extract it so you can get the .so plugin file
Close Firefox
Open your /home/user_name folder and set your file manager to show hidden files
Enter the .mozilla folder and create a new directory there called "plugins" (without quotes). Drag and drop the "libflashplayer.so" file from the extraction folder to the "plugins" folder
Restart Firefox and you should be able to watch Flash contentoz
